Last month I was lucky enough to get into a mushroom dyeing class at the John C. Starting tomorrow night I will be teaching a week long class on Beginning Weaving class at the John C. Campbell Folk School.  This class is for those who have always wanted to try their hand at weaving on a floor loom.  The first project that students will work on will be a sampler. What a great feeling that to get your loom warpped and start creating cloth. This cloth, when finished will be made into a jacket that will be shown at the SHCG Mother's Day Fashion Show. I always like to participate in the Southern Highlands Guild Mother's Day Fashion Show. I work so much better if I have a deadling to follow and I have to get this project done in two weeks! It is also nice day to travel to Asheville, NC and see fellow SHG members and their fiber work. So far I have designed my project, wound my warp and am about half way through threading on my AVL loom.
